Litigation Attorney

A mid-sized insurance defense law firm based in Cheshire, CT, is seeking multiple Litigation Attorneys to join its General Liability group. The firm is looking for attorneys with 1-8 years of experience, preferably in defense litigation, to manage various aspects of general liability cases from inception through resolution. This is an exciting opportunity for motivated and personable attorneys to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic litigation practice.Duties:Handle a range of general liability defense cases, including motor vehicle tort, premises liability, and construction litigation.Manage all aspects of case preparation, from drafting pleadings and motions to trial preparation.Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.Participate in the discovery process, including depositions and interrogatories.Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and legal advice.Prepare evidence, witness statements, and other materials for trial.Assist in trial support and attend court hearings as needed.Requirements:1-8 years of litigation experience, with a preference for defense litigation.Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.Ability to manage multiple cases independently and work in a team environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active admission to the Connecticut State Bar in good standing.Skills:Proficiency in legal research and drafting complex legal documents.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to interact effectively with clients and opposing counsel.Attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.
