We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Area Director of Human Resources to lead HR functions across our four properties.Position Overview:The Area Director of Human Resources will oversee the strategic HR operations for four hotels within the Kahler Hospitality Group portfolio. This role is instrumental in driving HR initiatives that support the companys mission, culture, and business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both independent and branded hotel HR requirements, including those specific to Marriott brands, and will be adept at leading a multi-property HR team.Responsibilities:Leadership & Strategy:Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the companys goals and objectives.Provide leadership and guidance to HR team, ensuring consistent application of HR policies and practices.Partner with property General Managers and the corporate HR to drive employee engagement, retention, and performance management initiatives.
Employee Relations:Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues across the four properties, providing expert advice and resolution.Foster a positive work environment that aligns with Kahler Hospitality Groups values and culture.
Talent Management:Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes for all four hotels, ensuring a high caliber of talent is brought into the organization.Develop and implement training and development programs that meet the needs of each property and support career growth for employees.
Compliance & Risk Management:Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as Marriott brand standards for HR.Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
Compensation & Benefits:Administer and manage compensation programs, including salary reviews, bonus programs, and benefits administration.Work with property leadership to ensure competitive and fair compensation practices are in place.
Performance Management:Guide the performance management process across all properties, ensuring timely and effective feedback, evaluations, and performance improvement plans.Support leadership development through coaching and mentorship.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equal years of relavant experience.SPHR, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent HR certification preferred.Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience preferred within the hospitality industry.Deep knowledge of both independent and Marriott-branded hotel HR operations.Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
