The AV Facility Team Lead will provide on-premises audio visual and meeting support for an established multi-channel retailer company. This key role is responsible for: Overseeing a team responsible for providing meeting assistance for conference rooms and AV spaces to ensure requestors are able to facilitate meetings and events implementing preventative maintenance and repair processes for all meeting and conference room spaces; and partnering with the client events team and requestors to collaborate on meeting needs. WHAT YOULL DO The AV Facility Team Lead will provide on-premises audio visual and meeting support for an established multi-channel retailer company. This key role is responsible for: Overseeing a team responsible for providing meeting assistance for conference rooms and AV spaces to ensure requestors are able to facilitate meetings and events; implementing preventative maintenance and repair processes for all meeting and conference room spaces; and partnering with the client events team and requestors to collaborate on meeting needs. DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES Team Management Manage on-site team responsible for ensuring high-quality audio-visual meeting support and timely preventative maintenance and repair. Implement training program to develop personnel and ensure they have the skillset and knowledge to effectively perform their roles and provide recommendations and opportunities for advancing capabilities. Facilitate the creation and distribution of all documented processes and workflows to all team members to establish consistent best practices. Implement local preventative maintenance procedures and facility plans to ensure locations remain operationally ready. Serve as the first-tier escalation point of contact for service needs with the client team. Ensure minimum staffing levels are always met and oversee the development of contingency and backfill plans including freelancer pool development in local market to ensure no interruption to service. Assess personal performance and hold review with personnel inclusive of corrective measures as necessary. Develop and provide key factors analysis report to manager on a quarterly basis. Facilitate regularly scheduled meetings with team members to ensure alignment on procedures, scheduling, and briefs as required. Meeting Support Ensure accurate and timely reporting and resolution on equipment issues and tickets. Implement system to ensure inventory of all AV equipment and spares for all meeting and conference room spaces. Facilitate troubleshooting and repair needs including cable replacements, power-cycles, and validation that components are working as well as more complex needs such as AV component configurations and part replacements. Monitor conference room health and make recommendations for ongoing failures that may indicate a need for replacement or upgrades. WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR Must-have skills & job qualifications 5+ years of experience in the area of audiovisual support, integration, meetings and events, or another similar field. Audiovisual troubleshooting knowledge. Intermediate PC troubleshooting knowledge. Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video, and control. Ability to perform routine testing and problem diagnosis for audio visual technologies. Ability to read and utilize blueprints and audio / video flow diagrams. Knowledge of network troubleshooting to diagnose static and dynamic IP addresses. Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner. Effectively communicate with employees, customers, and colleagues. Ability to maintain composure and a positive attitude during high pressure situations. Strong work ethic, self-direction, self-motivation, patience, persistence, and perspective. Excellent collaboration and customer relationship skills with the understanding of the importance of white glove service. Ability to work and think independently and meet deadlines. Flexible to work after hours and weekends when required. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Visio, Adobe Acrobat. Nice-to-have skills Studio production and event experience. Experience with control room equipment including video switchers, audio consoles, robotic cameras, and video playback software. Certification and training with Crestron, CTS, Networking, and other Audio-Video training. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Valid drivers license and safe driving record. Travel is required based on requirements and location of productions and service needs including meetings at client offices and AVI-SPL offices. Ability to lift/carry 50lbs.
