This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to one of the world's largest in vitro diagnostics companies with a shared mission of developing and manufacturing innovative technologies that raise the performance of diagnostic testing and create better patient outcomes across the entire healthcare continuum.This individual will be responsible for providing accurate accounting, insightful analysis and reporting on monthly and quarterly results as well as contributing to the annual operating plans and forecast updates for global inventory. Valued at greater than 500 million dollars, inventory represents a significant investment of the Company's cash and resources, and its management is a key area of focus for the finance organization. This person will partner across QuidelOrtho's global commercial, manufacturing and supply chain teams to understand business results, improve process and ultimately create value for QuidelOrtho. This challenging role is uniquely positioned to understand how the company delivers products to our customers and how these products contribute to the Company's overall financial performance. It provides an excellent opportunity to learn the business, interact with groups in multiple functions and across multiple geographies.We are open to San Diego, CA, Raritan, NJ, Waltham, MA, or Rochester, NY. You will work in a hybrid schedule (2 days onsite).The ResponsibilitiesCollaborating across functions around the globe to identify and understand underlying business drivers of changes to inventory.Ensuring that Profit in inventory is eliminated.Ensuring accuracy of management reporting through reconciliation to US GAAP results.Support financial planning through forecast and analysis of affiliate gross profit and profit in inventory.Being subject matter expert for global scrap and Slow-Moving/Obsolete costs to understand material business drivers.Ensuring audit requirements related to inventory are met including development / refinement of policies, narratives, memos, etc.Perform other work-related duties as assigned.The IndividualRequired:Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred), preferably within the areas of Accounting, Finance or Business is required.Minimum of 3 years' experience in finance/accounting required.Solid knowledge of US GAAP and/or cost accounting concepts is preferred.Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (i.e. Pivot Tables, SumIf, LOOKUP functions) is preferred.Experience using financial reporting tools such as OneStream, BPC, Hyperion or BW is preferred.Strong collaboration skills and ability to partner with associates at all levels of the organization and various functions including Finance, Supply Chain and IT.Highly motivated with strong attention to detail, analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset.Ability to work well in a dynamic environment, to think creatively and to be able to recommend and implement process improvements.Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously is required.The Key Working RelationshipsInternal Partners:All levels of the organization.External Partners:Vendors and suppliers.The Work EnvironmentNo strenuous physical activity, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials is required. 30% of time in meetings, working with team, or talking on the phone, 70% of the time at the desk on computer, doing analytical work. Minimal travel required. Travel includes airplane, automobile travel and overnight hotel.Salary TransparencyThe salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $134,000 and is bonus eligible. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time), and paid Holidays.
