Our mission is to make biology easier to engineer. Ginkgo is constructing, editing, and redesigning the living world in order to answer the globe’s growing challenges in health, energy, food, materials, and more. Our bioengineers make use of an in-house automated foundry for designing and building new organisms.
 
To propel this mission, our Talent Acquisition (TA) Team aims to bring the best possible talent to Ginkgo.  We’re honored to be a trusted partner and resource for all of Ginkgo, and help to ensure that our recruiting pipelines are infused with the same level of passion, innovation, and drive that has enabled Ginkgo’s continuous progress and achievements to date.
 
Therefore, we’re looking for Senior Recruiters to join our growing team.  With your significant networking experience and ability to cultivate strong relationships, you’ll help to develop and implement talent acquisition strategies for multiple teams across Ginkgo.  Plus, you’ll utilize your in-depth knowledge of recruiting tools and systems to make more data-driven decisions around attracting and retaining talent.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement recruiting and sourcing strategies to identify the best talent.
  • Enhance our recruiting processes to ensure a great experience for both candidates and hiring managers, improved data collection, and increased pipeline efficiency.
  • Manage all stages of the candidate pipeline through our Applicant Tracking System, CRM, and external sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter and Talent Insights.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong candidate pipelines to support teams’ short- and long-term hiring goals through a wide range of networking, social media outreach, referrals, and more.
  • Coach hiring managers and interviewers on executing cohesive interviews and providing effective candidate feedback.
  • Collaborate with Ginkgo’s Diversity, Talent Management, Compensation, and Human Resource Business Partner team members to ensure recruiting strategies are both comprehensive and competitive.
  • Analyze recruiting data and form key insights to help drive Ginkgo’s recruiting strategy and influence the hiring team.
  • Present regular recruiting reports and metrics to hiring managers, Ginkgo leadership, and other stakeholders.

Desired Experience and Capabilities

  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of recruiting, sourcing, and/or HR-related experience in the biotech, biopharma or synthetic biology field-ideally in the human resources, legal, finance areas.
  • In-depth understanding of sourcing techniques and tools, as well as hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Ability to swiftly adapt to changing priorities and pivot to meet emerging business needs in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong aptitude for diagnosing complex problems and driving innovative solutions 
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey a wide range of information to a diverse audience in a simple, clear, and effective manner 
  • Solid commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
