Girls Who Code (GWC) is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Recruiting Coordinator to join our growing People & Culture, Talent Acquisition (TA) team. We set the standard with every hire to drive GWC’s culture and company values of bravery, candor, quality, girls-first leadership, and sisterhood. The successful candidate’s primary body of work will be supporting the activities of the talent acquisition function by managing a high-volume recruiting project for our summer programs hiring, along with other related TA work as needed.

This is a part-time, temporary position from January 2022  through June 2022. Our office is based in NYC. The schedule will be 20 hours per week, with a hybrid schedule; preferably working 1-2 days in our midtown office for a few hours on each day, but will consider remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and track interviewing and hiring activity for our summer programs hiring
  • Work directly with hiring managers across the organization to facilitate and schedule interviews
  • Heavy emphasis on candidate coordination - communications, calendaring, collecting feedback, etc. to ensure positive candidate experience
  • Learn to use systems and tools to make our work more efficient and effective
  • Ensure proper data capture to facilitate reporting and analysis
  • Work with TA team to source and connect with potential candidates
  • Assist TA team on ad hoc projects such as ATS management, employer branding, candidate experience and recruitment marketing

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of coordinating or administrative experience in a recruiting agency, or internal recruiting or HR function; internship experience will be considered
  • Impeccable organizational skills as well attention to detail and as consistent follow up
  • Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment and manage your time effectively
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience communicating at all levels within an organization and externally
  • Able to successfully build cross-functional relationships
  • Strong team player who demonstrates interest and ability in contributing to the recruiting team success
  • Experience with an ATS (Lever experience preferred)
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace products (Gmail, Calendar, Meet, Drive, Sheets, etc.)
