Position Summary
The objective of this position is to provide human resources services to employees in the areas of internship program management, intern records, communications, and transactions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide general administrative support such as preparing correspondence, forms, reports, and composing regular correspondence. Internship Program Coordinate and implement the Summer Internship Program. Identify recruitment opportunities and source interns. Post and maintain intern jobs on Loop’s website and external sites (e.g., university sites, Handshake). Collaborate with college career services; coordinate internship events and participate in on-campus recruiting (out-of-town travel may be required). Recruit and interview interns. Maintain candidate databases and create tracking spreadsheets. Coordinate intern interviews with business units. Participate in intern selection. Prepare onboarding and off-boarding paperwork. Organize and lead intern orientation. Update internship handbooks and guides. Serve as the day-to-day HR contact for interns. Assist in preparing HR policies and manuals. Provide clerical support and perform other HR duties as assigned. Assist interns with questions and update internship newsletters. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university. One to two years of HR experience preferred. Knowledge of HR functions, HRIS, HR software, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong recruiting experience is highly desired. Knowledge of employment law, compensation, and organizational development. PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred but not required. Excellent communication skills. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; ability to manage meetings via Microsoft Teams. Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good judgment and a strong work ethic. Willingness to travel. Physical Demands Primarily sedentary work with requirements for gripping, hearing, talking, keyboarding, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
