Responsibilities

As a Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market, you are the face of the company, processing each customer's order quickly, accurately, and efficiently while ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service. Your duties include handling customer cash, credit/debit payments, and providing information or resolving complaints. You will also assist with stocking shelves, facing, dusting, and maintaining knowledge of weekly ad items, store events, and seminars. Maintaining clean and orderly checkout areas and executing other duties as assigned are also part of your role.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience.
• Display an outgoing and friendly demeanor, a positive attitude, and the ability to interact well with customers.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment such as registers, calculators, and scanners.
• Dependability and reliability, with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills, ability to take direction, and work in a team environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Must lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and move grocery carts requiring a force up to 35 lbs., for durations up to 50 hours without mechanical assistance.
• Strong attention to detail, proficiency with numbers, and cash handling skills.
