Job Summary
Reporting to the SVP and General Counsel, this role provides strategic oversight for risk management development, controls, and mitigation strategies. The position offers managerial, administrative, and legal support to achieve FHCSD’s risk management goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the Workplace Violence Prevention Plan.
- Coach staff, administer disciplinary actions, and promote best practices.
- Identify risks through ongoing assessments and staff discussions.
- Ensure effective reporting, tracking, and analysis of risk data.
- Participate in clinical outcomes and safety programs.
- Develop long-term safety and efficiency plans.
- Educate staff and collaborate with management on compliance and safety strategies.
- Develop policies to mitigate risk exposures.
- Report on key risks and mitigation efforts.
- Implement loss prevention measures.
- Advise leadership on legal and operational risk mitigation.
- Evaluate and upgrade healthcare technology platforms.
- Address ad hoc risk management issues as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred (MPH, MBA, RN, or related).
- 5+ years of healthcare risk management experience.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in office software and confidentiality.
Certifications
- Certified Risk Management Professional (RIMS-CRMP or CRM) preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Must have a valid California driver’s license, car, and insurance.
- Willingness to travel between sites.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $110,000 - $150,000 annually. Benefits include health insurance, retirement with employer match, paid time off, wellness programs, and more.
