As a Lead Pre-Kindergarten Teacher, you will:
Guide a teaching team as you plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, create classroom goals, and lead hands-on activities that expand children's learning and extend their thinking
Document children's learning, daily experiences, and accomplishments through daily notes, documentation panels, portfolios, and our child assessment system - Teaching Strategies Gold (TSG)
Follow important procedures and guidelines to provide a safe and nurturing environment that encourages children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development
Qualifications:
Candidates must pass required state and company background checks, and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements:
Bachelor's degree or State Educator License in Early Childhood (Pre-K-2) from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education required
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, Early Childhood Special Education preferred
Candidates without a bachelor's degree in an ECE or Education-related major may meet the educational requirements if they have earned: a bachelor's degree (in any subject) with a minimum of 36 college credits in any of the major areas identified above OR a bachelor's degree (in any subject) with a Montessori Certificate
At least 12 months of professional teaching experience in child care, daycare, or preschool required
Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) for 4- and 5-year-old children required
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the employee to comply with all applicable federal, state, local, Bright Horizons', and client site requirements concerning immunizations, employment physical/screening, and health and safety training. If hired, you will work in person in an early education/preschool child care center to provide supervision, care, curriculum delivery and services per Bright Horizons' policies, procedures and guidance, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations, and in a manner that will ensure the safety of children in Bright Horizons care and the employee.

Compensation:
The hourly for this position is between $29.31 - $31.41 per hour. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
