We’re seeking a highly skilled Tool Room Machinist with a background in precision machining to support custom tooling, fixtures, prototypes, and short-run production work. If you take pride in tight tolerances, working independently, and building critical components that keep operations running smoothly—this is the opportunity for you.

Position Overview

As a Tool Room Machinist, you will operate manual and CNC equipment to fabricate, modify, and repair tooling and components with exceptional accuracy. You'll work closely with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to support R&D and tooling needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, and CNC equipment to produce custom parts and tooling
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specs
• Manufacture and maintain jigs, dies, fixtures, and precision tools
• Perform tight-tolerance machining using precise measuring tools (micrometers, dial indicators, gauge blocks, etc.)
• Maintain and repair shop tooling, dies, and other machine components as needed
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and production supervisors on prototype builds and part improvements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe tool room environment
  
  

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a precision or tool room machining role
• Proficient with manual and/or CNC machines (Mill, Lathe, Grinder, etc.)
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
• Skilled with tight tolerance work and fine finishes
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical trade school preferred
