SAIC has an immediate need for a BMC3 Systems Administrator Analyst with Linux full stack development experience.We are looking for an innovative and motivated individual at an SAIC facility in Huntsville, AL to help plan and execute testing, training, maintenance, and operate the BMC3 ground simulation test lab hardware.Candidates must have experience with executing, and testing software developmental programs in support of program management to meet customer milestones.
Job Description:
- Oversee the execution of security measures called out in the security plan to include timely scans of network resources and software patches.
- Provide effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of production Linux Servers in a VMWare Virtualized Environment.
- Apply DISA STIG compliance controls to secure systems.
- Responsible for daily system monitoring, security, server health, resources and log management of Linux and Windows Server systems.
- Troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis. This includes troubleshooting all issues with system configurations, backups, files systems, and user access.
- Support Linux platforms hosting applications, operations and sustainment systems, and ACAS and other security tools.
- Interface with engineers, systems engineers, and subject matter experts.
- Troubleshoot hardware, networking, and software problems in multi-node environment.
- Ability to use automation software provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment functionality.
- Create and maintain software documentation and updates.
- Work with a highly technical team to perform evaluation tests.
- Support docker desktop containers and services such as Kubernetes.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience;
- Must have CompTIA Certs
Experience with Windows 10 and Windows Server 2019 or higher
Working knowledge of Hyper-V or Vmware
Proficiency in working with AWS Cloud components and services
Proficiency in various operating systems, such as Linux/Unix, Windows Server
Understanding of networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.)
Configuration and management of routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices
Effective organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly
Desired Skills:
Proficiency in working with OpenStack components and services
Experience with RKE2, Rancher, Longhorn, and Docker containers
Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability management
Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Python to automate repetitive tasks
Understanding of server hardware, storage systems, and backup solutions
Troubleshooting hardware issues and coordinating with vendors for support
Experience with operational ground systems
Must be a US Citizen and have a Secret Clearance
