A growing law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Litigation team in the Charleston area. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation, with a preference for experience in construction defect, toxic torts, and/or personal injury cases. Mt. Pleasant, SC Duties
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal briefs Conduct legal research to support case strategy and client advice Communicate with clients and opposing parties to negotiate, resolve, or settle claims Manage a diverse caseload from case initiation through resolution Provide timely reporting on case progress and strategy Collaborate with other attorneys during depositions and court appearances Maintain organized case files and documentation Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on construction defect, toxic torts, and/or personal injury preferred Licensed to practice law in South Carolina (required) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent research, writing, and communication abilities Ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases efficiently Experience with legal software such as WestLaw, i-Manage, and Juris Suite a plus Education
Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school Active membership in the South Carolina State Bar Certifications
South Carolina Bar License (required) Skills
