The menu at IRIS is inspired by the style of eating found in the Aegean, with Chef Fraser drawing upon his Greek heritage and his deep admiration for Turkish cuisine, as well as his signature vegetable-forward vision and techniques.**Responsibilities:*** Oversee and assist the kitchen staff in all aspects of food production* Evaluate food products to ensure consistent quality standards* Establish and maintain a regular maintenance schedule for all kitchen areas and equipment* Provide training and professional development opportunities for all kitchen staff* Responsible for implementing and maintaining DOH standards at all times**Qualifications:*** Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience within a high volume, fine dining or upscale restaurant* Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills* Highly organized with excellent attention to detail* Strong financial acumen* Must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for long periods of time and have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs* Open availability* Certification in NYC Food Protection LicenseSeriously interested candidates must be passionate, organized, hard-working and self-motivated. Candidates must also have a strong desire to learn and grow in addition to strong communication skills and being a team player.
