About Management Leadership for Tomorrow

MLT is transforming the careers and life trajectories of a new generation of diverse leaders, while expanding the talent pipelines at more than 130 leading businesses, social-sector organizations, and universities. We have convened a uniquely powerful and vibrant community of MLT Rising Leaders - 8,000 and growing - who are propelling change throughout our institutions, communities, and nation.

The racial equity movement has propelled us to the forefront of the nation’s battle against racism, as global organizations embrace the success of our talent recruitment and development solutions and receive our advice and guidance for becoming organizations where people of color can thrive and become senior leaders.  By joining our team, you will help us work towards a world where inequality is no more, people of color realize their full potential, and diverse leadership is no longer “underrepresented.“

MLT’s Tech Sector / West Coast Team

MLT partners with companies to develop and recruit top Black, Latinx, and Native American talent with the potential to become senior leaders of impact and influence. MLT partners play a critical role by recruiting, developing, and accelerating MLT rising leaders. Companies’ willingness to partner and continue to renew their annual MLT partnership depends upon successful engagement and execution with MLT’s programs that help meet their objectives: hiring MLT alumni into key roles and progressing their company along their DEI journey.

Currently, 1,800 MLTers work at Tech companies, including partners such as Google, Amazon, Facebook, Apple, Salesforce, LinkedIn, Intuit and Dell Technologies. Additionally, MLT has established partnerships with VC firms such as Greylock Partners, Greycroft Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, Kapor Capital, and others. About Management Leadership For Tomorrow

John Rice at CitiAs a Harvard MBA student in the early 1990’s, John Rice began delving into the reasons why there were few other students there who looked like him. He developed a thesis for a nonprofit organization that would provide the training, coaching and networks that traditionally have been unavailable to minorities. In 2002, after a successful career at Disney and the National Basketball Association, John left the private sector to found the organization he first envisioned in business school: Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT). Transforming Lives Today, MLT has transformed the careers and life trajectories of more than 6,000 Black, Hispanic and Native American women and men – from college students to seasoned executives. MLT partners with more than 100 leading companies, social sector organizations and universities to strengthen their recruitment and retention of diverse talent. Know-How. Navigation. Network. MLT’s distinctive model provides the know-how, navigation systems and network to ensure talented underrepresented minorities are able to get on and stay on the path to senior leadership. MLT’s Rising Leaders benefit from exceptional coaching, skills training, and a powerful, professional network unlike any other – peers, mentors and senior leaders who share experience, trust and a commitment to helping each other advance. MLT’s experience and expertise are influencing national conversations about opportunity, race, workforce diversity and economic mobility, and proving that these vexing gaps and inequities can be overcome.
