Senior Technical Recruiter (SF, NYC, or US Remote)

Bitwise Asset Management, San Francisco, CA

The world’s first cryptocurrency index fund.

Duration: Full Time

It’s not very often that a new asset class is born. But that’s exactly what we’re witnessing today with the rise of crypto. Over just the last four years, crypto has evolved from an embryonic $50B market to a young-but-growing $2T+ today. At Bitwise, we believe that crypto has reached a turning point, and is headed north of $10T over the next few years. Along the way, we expect there to be risks, pitfalls, and uncertainty—much like there was during the rise of the internet, of cloud computing, and of apps. But we also expect there will be great opportunities, and millions of people wanting to participate in the potential upside.

Our goal at Bitwise is to help busy mainstream investors understand and access the opportunities emerging in this new asset class. Currently, Bitwise is a close-knit team of 50+ professionals. Our backgrounds combine technology expertise with decades of experience in asset management and indexing, coming from firms including BlackRock, Blackstone, Meta, and Google, as well as the U.S. Attorney’s Office. We’re backed by some of the most accomplished investors in venture capital and veterans of the financial services world. We love working together, we love what we do, and we’re excited about what’s ahead.

We’re looking for an exceptional individual to join our team and take on important responsibilities to help Bitwise scale. As Senior Technical Recruiter, you will spearhead recruiting efforts to help grow a best-in-class engineering team. There will be a lot to learn, a huge impact to be had, and some lifelong relationships to be built along the way.

What You Will Do

  • Work with engineering leadership to design a thoughtful recruiting strategy and full life cycle process that can attract the best talent across different types of roles.
  • Own the full recruitment process including sourcing, interviews, feedback, and offer process.
  • Own relevant recruiting tools, such as Lever and Dover, and leverage them to improve our recruiting process.
  • Understand how to source and attract a diverse candidate pool. This is important to us.
  • Build processes that help the recruiting organization grow and scale its efforts, primarily on the technical side.
  • Track goals, metrics and performance of the hiring cycle; regularly communicate results to the team.
  • Coordinate with outside agencies, sourcers, and recruiters where relevant.
  • You will have the flexibility to work from our NYC or San Francisco office or work remotely. There are opportunities throughout the year to work with the team in person.

Who You Are

  • You have 4+ years of recruiting experience working with engineering teams, with a successful track record of hiring for technical roles, ideally at high-growth tech companies.
  • You have experience building a candidate pipeline with a diverse candidate pool.
  • Your style is like ours: high-energy, positive, caring, deliberate, self-aware, curious, and open-minded; inclined to take ownership to get the best outcome but happy to transfer or share ownership with others. You’re proactive in pursuing what you want, you take pride in your ability to communicate and connect with others, and you’re always looking to improve.
  • You care about relationships, both within the team and with external partners. You want to understand others, to help others understand you, to enjoy interactions, to form career-long partnerships, and to be “best-in-class.”
  • You have the willingness and enthusiasm to learn, expand your scope, and grow with a rapidly evolving company and space.
