Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition

 

The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition is a multifaceted, people-first position at the center of our People + Culture shared services team chiefly responsible for the important work of ensuring that candidates make the smoothest transition possible from applicant to new team member. This includes, but is not limited to:

 

Location/Hours

This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of our New York City office location. Looking for a very strong candidate who's fully remote and open to travel (>15%/1-2 times a month) for networking events.

 

Talent Acquisition (50%)

  • Hire, train, and manage a team of 2-4 contract recruiters and specialists.
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures for scale.
  • Perform full-cycle executive and technical recruitment.
  • Oversee agency relationships and liaise between agencies and hiring managers to successfully manage searches and fill positions on time and under budget.
  • Identify platforms and strategic partnerships to increase the inter-sectional diversity of talent pools across all levels of the organization.
  • Provide direction and guidance to both recruiters and managers on position descriptions, hiring plans, candidate assessment tools, and interviewer training.
  • Support and stand-in for the Associate Director of Talent Acquisition as needed.

 

Talent Management (20%)

  • Partner with the Associate Director of People & Culture and HR Generalist(s) to assess team performance and dynamics for strategic workforce planning.
  • Consult to department leads and people managers on career path planning and internal mobility for existing staff members.
  • Support the job review process to ensure consistent and equitable decision-making around compensation, promotion, and development opportunities; provide training and counseling on the overall job development process.
  • Leverage qualitative (employee surveys, feedback, interviews) and quantitative data to inform and enhance strategic plans for hiring, developing, and retaining staff.

 

Reporting & Analytics (20%)

  • Partner with Finance and IT counterparts to build and maintain reporting dashboards to provide real-time insights into the health of our talent acquisition pipelines and processes.
  • Use project management tools (Monday.com among others) to coordinate, track, and manage strategic workflows and roadmaps.
  • Build reports in Greenhouse to update and inform hiring managers and executive leadership team members of key talent developments.
  • Monitor and analyze recruitment data to identify trends and/or opportunities to increase the efficacy and productivity of our hiring practices.
  • Other reporting duties as assigned.

 

New Hire Onboarding & Experience (10%)

  • Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the organization to streamline and improve existing onboarding workflows.
  • Ensure optimum compliance and adoption of HR best practices throughout the new hire onboarding process by developing, documenting, and communicating standard operating procedures.
  • Test, evaluate, and implement progressive onboarding programs that center the new hire experience and set up teams for long-term success.
  • Create and monitor systems for continuous improvement.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years demonstrated experience in full-cycle recruitment including high-volume sourcing and OCR. Agency recruitment experience will be considered; in-house talent acquisition management within a nonprofit, specifically education-based, strongly preferred.
  • 1+ years of direct people management experience. Intern management applies.
  • A proven track record of increased responsibility and autonomy within fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
  • Working knowledge of recruitment compliance and inclusive hiring practices. Must be skilled and confident in engaging diverse constituencies throughout the spectrum of culture and identity; a background in diversity recruitment or DEIB is a plus.
  • Strong project management, organization, and execution skills. *Practiced in prioritizing multiple competing priorities and managing stakeholder expectations while driving towards measurable outcomes.
  • Stellar extemporaneous verbal communications and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in ATS (Greenhouse) and HRIS (ADP or similar products) technology, project management tools and methodologies (Monday, Asana, Airtable, MS Project, etc.), and advanced Excel and analytics skills. Familiarity with cloud-based applications and systems integrations is desired.

Vaccination Policy
