This position is part of an inclusive, collaborative, and engaging team accountable to execute a detailed plan for building and growing the recruitment strategy, embracing the important philosophy of cultivating equity in all that we do. Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager this position will deliver on the strategic goal of recruiting a racially diverse workforce, building community relationships, and conducting outreach. This position coordinates recruitment and serves as the point of contact for applicants while working collaboratively to ensure a positive inclusive experience and desired outcomes for all parties. RESPONSIBILITIESCustomer Service: As a deliverer of services to the organization, the HR Coordinator will execute their responsibilities with the utmost regard for customer service, this includes but is not limited to, timely and prioritized follow-up, accuracy, proactively anticipating needs, creatively solving problems, and executing tasks with a high level of accountability and professionalism. Answers frequently asked questions from applicants relative to standard employment policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to HR manager or management. Strategic Recruitment:Collaborate with colleagues, as well as hiring managers to understand candidate profiles and craft research strategies to map and engage talent for a given role as well as future roles with an emphasis on diverse talent. Measure the impact of sourcing methods in a rigorous, data-driven way. Use strategic thinking skills and collaboration with team members on best practices and enhancements to recruitment processPartner with hiring managers to assess organizational needs and develop thoughtful and innovative sourcing, pipelining, referral, networking and agency strategiesCultivate networks and establish proactive partnerships with stakeholders to manage current and future demands, consult on sourcing strategies, and support business change and growthEvaluate and refine internal and external candidate sourcing channels to improve results, and help enhance hiring manager experience, further digital capabilities and focus on delivering against diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) prioritiesIdentify innovative and unique sourcing channels, technology tools, and CRM tactics to ensure Habitat is leading talent identification, engagement, and performance metricsInclusive mindset with a focus on DEI Recruiting opportunities, identifying, and deploying recruiting tactics that attract a racially diverse candidate pool, educating hiring managers, and leveraging cultural competency. Collaborate with marketing staff to develop and promote opportunities within the organization. Provide ongoing communication about initiatives and opportunities through email, newsletters, social media and online recruitment resources.Participate in community events to promote Twin Cities Habitat as an employer; establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations; and proactively seek new sources for applicants.Maintain the organization's applicant tracking system; post and advertise available positions. Run reports and analyze data as needed.Support intake processes, including but not limited to reference and background check processes. Create, maintain, and communicate a checklist and timeline for all handoffs.Supports the department by participating in special projects and providing back-up support to department staff.Special Projects and Other Duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSEducationHigh School diploma or equivalentAssociates or bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the duties of the jobHuman resource management continuing education and certification a plusExperienceNon-profit or small firm HR recruitment, administration or generalist experience preferred2+ years' experience with full cycle, proactive recruiting, and selection processes 2+ years' experience with Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity initiatives Valid driver's license with good driving recordKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesCultural Competency and strong working knowledge of centering equity throughout HR processesAdaptability, Accountability, and strong orientation for results Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel primarily ADP Workforce Now experience a plus, but not requiredExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsAttention to detailStrategic thinking and planning Basic business acumen PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSFunction in a standard office environment WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work is performed mainly in an office environment, with occasional exposure to outside and some work is performed offsite at warehouse, building sites, or ReStore.
