Perhaps our search for talented visionaries and your search for important and impactful work lead to the same place.The candidate provides support to the Legal Recruiting Manager, the Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and Nashville offices, and the broader Legal Recruiting firmwide team and coordinates activities, projects, and programs.KEY RELATIONSHIPSLocal and global Legal Recruiting team and broader People teams; partners and lawyers, including Office Managing Partners, hiring partners, practice area leaders (PALs) and practice group coordinators (PGCs); allied professionals and administrative leaders (including Directors of Admin); law students and law school Career Services professionals; lateral associate and partner candidates; external vendors and search firms.ESSENTIAL DUTIESStudent and Lateral Associate Recruitment: coordinate all summer associate callback and lateral associate candidate interview schedules; ensure applicant database is updated and produce all necessary correspondence related to recruiting efforts, including offer letters and post-interview communications; assist with the preparation, coordination, and scheduling of on-campus and job fair interviews; process resumes received from candidates, search firms, and referrals, and communicate status updates to candidates and search firms; maintain recruitment database and all recruitment and candidates filesSummer Associate Program: coordinate all events, including orientation, local training programs, and social events; assist with tracking of summer associate assignments and evaluations, including preparing mid-point and final evaluation materials; attend summer associate events as necessary; assist in producing correspondence related to the program, including offer lettersAssociate Onboarding: coordinate pre-arrival and onboarding details for new lawyers, including first year and lateral associates and partners; prepare orientation and onboarding programs, and process new hire paperworkFirmwide Projects: assist members of the Legal Recruiting team with firmwide projects on an as needed basisEXPERIENCE SKILLS REQUIREDBachelor's degree requiredAdministrative experience supporting recruiting and learning and professional development functions, preferably in a professional services environmentProficiency in office software, including document processing, spreadsheets, databases, electronic calendars, internet access, and an applicant tracking systemDemonstrated ability to learn new computer applications and functionsDemonstrated ability to work well with lawyers, management, administrators, and support staff and effectively establish and maintain productive relationshipsAbility to anticipate issues, solve problems, initiate actions, handle multiple tasks and projects, and adjust to changing prioritiesHighly organized with strong oral and written communication skillsStrong work ethic and professional approach, takes accountability for achieving what is expectedAbility to follow instructions and adhere to processExemplary attention to detailAbility to work well in a team with a positive, "can do" attitudeCooperative and supportive team memberFocus on continuous improvementPrevious experience within a law firm or other professional services environment desirableSome experience in an HR generalist support role, specialized experience/training in a talent role involving recruiting desirableExperience working with legal search firms and facilitating and negotiating lateral placement agreements desirableDemonstrated interest and investment in extracurricular and personal professional development activities within professional associations such as NALP, ALA, SHRM, or local groups desirableADDITIONAL ABILITIES REQUIREDAbility to work overtime and some travel with overnight stays may be requiredThis job operates in an office setting and is largely sedentary, requiring the routine use of a computer and other standard office equipment.
