Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Manager to join our food manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and control of manufacturing processes. The role will involve managing and improving production processes to ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the company's quality standards. Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Production Manager, your duties will include:

1. Planning, organizing, directing, and running optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations.
2. Increasing production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
3. Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
4. Monitoring operations and triggering corrective actions.
5. Sharing a trusting relationship with the workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff.
6. Collecting and analyzing data to find places of waste or overtime.
7. Committing to plant safety procedures.
8. Developing systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
9. Staying up to date with the latest production management best practices and concepts.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the role, candidates will need:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
3. Proven experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points), and SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards.
4. Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills.
5. Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
6. Strong knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
7. Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as a group.
8. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
9. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
