Job Description
Select’s Water Balancing Specialist will track, balance, and optimize recycle facility flows and inventory. Forecast short and long term activity to meet clients operational needs in both fluid disposal as well as frac supply. Maintain good communication both internally with Ops groups, facility supervisors and upper management and externally with multiple operator clients. Forecast potential treated produced water inventory deficit and surplus issues. Develop solutions to both inventory and operational issues. Optimize recycle facility activity through analysis of local oil and gas market activity and coordination with corporate sales team.
The essential job functions include, but are not limited to
- Track, balance, and optimize recycle facility flows and inventory.
- Forecast short and long term activity to meet clients operational needs in both fluid disposal as well as frac supply.
- Maintain good communication both internally with Ops groups, facility supervisors and upper management and externally with multiple operator clients.
- Forecast potential treated produced water inventory deficit and surplus issues.
- Develop solutions to both inventory and operational issues.
- Optimize recycle facility activity through analysis of local oil and gas market activity.
- Coordinates with corporate sales team.
- Reporting, as required, to both region and corporate management.

Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- 5 years experience preferred, minimum 3 years.
- Knowledge of practical oilfield operations.
- Experience with oilfield water logistics and scheduling.
- Experience with oilfield water coordination.
- Knowledgeable in produced water recycle.
- Familiar with completion and flowback process and elements.
- Familiar with oilfield frac water transfer operations.
- Demonstratable knowledge in SCADA systems.
- Comfortable with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Routinely builds complex formulas within the same sheet.
- Links cells from within the same sheet, or independent workbooks.
- Includes multiple pivot tables within the same sheet and graphs/charts the data from within.
- Executes macros.
- Occasionally builds macros.
- Routinely uses v-lookup, x-lookup, and index match functions.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Contract analysis.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.

Physical Demands and Exposures
- Requires a high degree of concentration in a busy area.
- Must be willing to travel to remote locations and spend considerable time at field locations as required.
- Position works inside a climate-controlled environment a majority of the time.
- Traditional Monday through Friday, 8 – 5 pm, unless operational tempo and requirements dictate otherwise.
- Ability to individually lift: Maximum 25 lbs.
