Program Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Program Coordinator is a member of the SUNY CPD Delivery and Services Team and will support a wide range of training and professional development activities. The Program Coordinator works in a team of professionals who support the delivery of university-wide professional development and training programs, community meetings, virtual and in-person conferences, online and in-person workshops/courses, webinars, and hybrid programs and events. SUNY CPD programs take place in a variety of formats, leveraging technologies to enable this work, including: Event/Registration Management System, Virtual Conference Platform, Brightspace Digital Learning environment, Credly Badging system, Survey Tools (SurveyMonkey), Webinar Tools (Zoom), and Collaboration tools (MS Teams/Google). Onsite event management is required and may include travel within New York.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree from an accredited higher education institution in an appropriate field with two years of relevant experience,including experience working with diverse groups of people and with events for diverse audiences. Demonstrated experience in supporting and executing professional development events. Fluency with office productivity tools, such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Zoom. Demonstrated experience using online database systems for tracking/management of program/customer information. Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational abilities, quantitative skills, ability to meet deadlines, technical aptitude, and ability to work independently with limited direction and in a team. A customer service orientation and ability to act as a resource to customer base. Accuracy in record keeping is a must. Experience leveraging web-based technologies is required. Proven ability to forge collaborative relationships, working effectively in a team environment, and interact with numerous and diverse staff and leadership at all levels of the organization.Must be comfortable with and open to innovation and learning new technologies to enable the work. Possess a love of learning and for continuing education, life-long learning.
Preferred Qualifications:
" Experience working in a higher education environment " Experience in training / teaching " Knowledge of the SUNY System and experience working with campus staff " Knowledge of major SUNY initiatives, and trends within the industry of higher education " PROGRAM TOOLS: Brightspace, Event Management Systems, Survey Tools, Web Conferencing Software, and other web-based tools (such as Google and Credly)
