Per DiemSUMMARY OF POSITION:The pharmacy intern serves a dual function within the Pharmacy Department and the Medical Center: 1) assist pharmacists with their day to day duties and responsibilities by learning and performing the technical aspects of pharmacy practice, 2) learn to function at the level of staff pharmacist by learning and performing the duties of the position and attaining competency to apply pharmacotherapy knowledge to the patient care setting. The primary goal of the pharmacy intern is development into a competent practitioner upon graduation and licensure.
