Join our team as a Business Relationship Manager, this role is all about connection, support, and helping businesses thrive-one friendly interaction at a time. The Business Relationship Manager (BRM) is responsible for assisting new and existing business members with inquires and requests, recommending appropriate products and services to support their business while providing a high level of prompt, efficient and friendly member service. BRMs will interview small business loan applicants and prepare high-quality submissions for underwriters. They collaborate closely with team members to ensure an exceptional member experience, leveraging their in-depth knowledge of all small business lending regulations, policies, and procedures. Additional responsibilities include portfolio monitoring assignments, gathering credit information for current and prospective business borrowers, sales production goals, new account/loan audits, and assisting with the completion of special projects and assignments.Remote Work Arrangement : This position offers a hybrid remote work arrangement out of our Sahara office in Las Vegas, NV.Duties and Responsibilities

Portfolio ManagementManage a portfolio of Business Members, providing ongoing servicing and support. Communicate additional requests for credit, modifications and/or renewals.Collaborate with Commercial Lending Officers and clients to collect financials, personal statements, insurance, and other required documents. Submit files for annual loan reviews and regulatory audits. Assist with delinquent account collections, maintaining communication with both members and internal teams. Monitor various third-party reports such as delinquent property taxes, flood zone changes and environmental concerns.Track covenants and compliance; document and address any non-compliance issues. Complete monthly reporting as assigned by management.

Sales and ServiceProactively engage with business members to identify and meet their current and future needs through phone, video, or in-person interactions. Interview new and existing business members regarding small business loan and deposit products and services (i.e., business auto/vehicle loans, equipment loans, lines of credit, credit cards, etc.)Engage with members in all phases of the business life cycle while following policies and leveraging product knowledge.

Business LendingOriginate small business loans by gathering and analyzing business and financial data to assess eligibility and submit complete credit packages for underwriting.Process loan packages, ensuring all conditions and compliance requirements are met within time frames. Communicate loan decisions, collect stipulations, and prepare/explain loan documents. Handle pre-funding documentation and funding-related tasks. Provides support for onboarding, processing, funding, and servicing business loans. Responsible for onboarding small business loans into the core system. Review insurance requirements are satisfied by coordinating with borrower and insurance agents.Collaborate with various stakeholders, including loan officers, underwriters, vendors, and members, to facilitate the execution of loan transactions. Order and review applicable due diligence items for each file including but not limited to credit reports, tax transcripts, collateral appraisal reports, and UCC filings. Coordinates loan closing with lending personnel.Provides ongoing support of business loan modification requests, escrow management, insurance monitoring, and payment processingConduct regulatory due diligence and review corporate and collateral documents for accuracy and compliance.

Account AdministrationAssist CU team members with business account questions and account requirements.Assist business account holders with account maintenance and product setups, coordinating with other departments as needed. Works with sales and support teams to resolve issues.

Policies, Procedures and ComplianceMaintains well-rounded understanding of laws and regulations that apply to the credit union, small business and commercial lending industries.Complies with all Credit Union policies, procedures, laws and regulations including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Other DutiesAssists the Training Department with developing content and materials for staff training.Actively participates in process improvement teams on a departmental and/or cross-functional level.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Experience2 - 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.3+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: business, retail, recommending products and services, or customer service, as demonstrated through work, military, or education.1+ year of experience providing product and service consultation to small businesses.Experience building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and internal partners.Strong knowledge of Small Business Loans, Commercial Real Estate, SBA, State Guarantee Loans, and Participation/Syndication Loans.

Education/Certifications/LicensesHigh School diploma or G.E.D. degree.

Interpersonal SkillsProficient with proactively sourcing, acquiring, building, and maintaining relationships with customers and colleagues.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills desired.

Computer SkillsStrong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 products (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
