Business Intelligence Engineer

to their team. This is a direct hire opportunity which offers a competitive salary, stability and exceptional benefits. This is a hybrid role, requiring onsite work at their Rancho Cucamonga, office location on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. You can work remotely on Wednesdays and Fridays.The Business Intelligence Engineer will be responsible for implementing database-driven solutions, using SQL, creating complex queries, and developing business solutions. The successful candidate will ensure the performance, security, and availability of databases, create program views, functions, and stored procedures as well as develop SQL queries, custom reports, and modify existing objects.The Business Intelligence Engineer combines business knowledge, technical expertise, and data analysis skills to help companies make informed decisions. The role involves collecting, analyzing, interpreting structuring large amounts of data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can conform to business strategies. This role is a key player in helping businesses make data-driven decisions. The role requires a strong combination of technical, analytical, and business skills, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Duties:

Data Collection : Actively participate in the Data Warehouse development lifecycle; including but not limited to gathering and understanding of requirements, data and ETL design/mapping from various sources using ETL tools like Informatica/Azure Data Factory pipeline, and SQL Server database development. Responsible for debugging, monitoring, and troubleshooting BI solutions during work hours and production failures at night. Document designs, specifications, and flow diagrams to assist in development, support, and problem analysis. Drive data model design, and ETL processes for the enterprise Data Warehouse. Build semantic layer using MicroStrategy/Power BI developer/architect tool and define entity-relationship model for data modeling.

Reporting:

Creates reports and visualizations that communicate data insights in a clear and actionable way. Develops and documents processes, methodologies, and best practices for data analysis and reporting

Business Analysis:

Collaborates with business stakeholders to identify business needs and requirements. Ability to translate business needs into data analysis projects. Designs and develops dashboards, scorecards, and reports to support business decision-making. Responsible for BI tools and user setup for BI tools such as MicroStrategy, Power BI, Tableau

Data Modeling:

Designs and implements data models that organize and structure data for efficient analysis. Understand the existing datasets, and collect, and connect the data while maintaining data accuracy and consistency. Support data security, and govern and regulate compliance when required.

Additional Responsibilities:

Maintains up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in data analytics and business intelligence. Train and support end-users on data analysis tools and techniquesCOMPETENCIES

Compensation:

110,000 - $130,000
