The Network Sytems Engineer is responsible for: supporting and ensuring a highly reliable network and information technology, systems, and infrastructure; provides oversight, consultation, coordination, implementation, design, configuration, maintenance, support, troubleshooting, training, and planning of the network and systems infrastructure and understands the impact to multiple Information Systems/applications and operations; utilizes advanced networking and programming tools to support network, software, hardware, wireless, applications, systems, and information services and business operations/processes; identifies and develops robust solutions that enhance communication, efficiencies, workflow experiences, empowering productivity, and drives effective patient care and business operations. Ensures the overall health, availability, interdependence, and protection of the organizations on-premises and cloud-based systems; implements secure, resilient infrastructure that complies with applicable regulatory agencies. Plans and supports coordinated product lifecycle of networking solutions. Utilizes advanced methodologies to centrally manage, monitor, and provide audits for operations, systems, and processes as needed; conducts routine maintenance, product lifecycle development, and performs network, software, and hardware modifications to sustain efficient workflows. They report to the Vice President of Technology or designee by the Chief Information Officer and takes calls as needed.

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related area or equivalent level of training/experience/certification(s)Three (3) years networking infrastructure experienceRelevant networking and systems certifications, familiar with healthcare informatics, operational and business workflowsAbility to organize work and attend to detailWorks collaboratively across multiple departments, with end users and schedules and provides exceptional customer serviceTakes calls as requiredSupports multiple networking, systems, vendor platforms, and information services environmentsPreferred Qualifications:

Responsible for providing a highly reliable network by supporting the management, oversight, consultation, configuration, coordination, implementation, maintenance, support, troubleshooting, and training of the Network Infrastructure and function and its impact on multiple Information Systems/applications and operations with a focus on world-class customer experience.Assists with various Infrastructure systems (Microsoft, Cisco, VMWare, Ivanti, Exchange, Citrix, firewalls, security/security tools, backup/recovery solutions, hardware/wireless solutions (Cisco and others), and EHR systems/modules, and other applications as needed.Uses networking experience and expertise to identify and document alternative solutions, system design, and workflow analysis to meet operational, security, clinical, and business objectives.Programs/codes as needed.Manages and assists with the implementation, support, and maintenance of various applications, networking, software, and hardware environments:

Network-Related Technologies: Cisco Products (DNA, ISE, SNA, ThousandEyes, UCS, Cisco VOIP Collaboration, Webex, Teams, Meraki, Nexus, Firepower), Wireless LAN management/troubleshooting, Network Function Virtualization, Routing (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, Redistribution, Route Selection), Load Balancing (Netscaler), Consolidated I/O Fiber Channel, Application Delivery (Netscaler), SSL/HTTP offload, VPN.Systems-Related Technologies: Microsoft (Intune, Azure, Teams), Ivanti, VMWare, Exchange, Citrix, Firewalls, Backup/Recovery Solutions (Veeam), HCI/Virtualization, Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems/modules, VDI/Horizon, Apple Devices (MDM - Windows, Apple, Android), Scripting and Automation (Python, PowerShell), Reporting and Analysis (PowerBI, SharePoint), Security and Authentication (MFA, SSO or integrations). Cloud Technologies: Azure, AWS, OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure).Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Develops applicable action plan(s), prepares design recommendations/implementations, identifies resource/support requirements, and documents the plans of action according to Change Advisory Board (CAB) best practices.Translates recommendations from vendors into working solutions and documents in accordance with operational/business objectives while fully utilizing the Ticket System and ITSM principles.Prepares rigorous unit/integrated/pre-post go-live analysis test plan(s), and scripts; accompanied with completed validation documentation.Performs quality assurance testing and validation to ensure upgrades are delivered right the first time.Programs and writes applicable scripts and communicates results/challenges to leadership, co-workers, and end-users as appropriate.Evaluates programming requests and works with IS Team members in developing solutions that are cost-effective, efficient, and meet the operational, clinical, and business needs of multiple departments focusing on Network resilience, availability, security, and appropriate KPIs providing transparency to the health and utilization of the network.Provides training on new features to requesting user departments and staff. Physical presence onsite is essential, with remote work as agreed upon.Require extended work hours during times of significant projects and support of infrastructure/systems and on-call coverage.Moderate to heavy work.Exerting up to fifty (50) pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to twenty (20) pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.Ability to tolerate prolonged periods of standing and walking.Requires ability to concentrate on logical problem solving during competing projects.Medium physical demands capability required.Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching and the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull weights up to thirty (30) pounds.Able to work within time constraints; high stress situations and multiple tasks; ability to maintain a professional appearance and attitude; professional and courteous to co-workers and patient/family; participates in and promotes collaborative communication and teamwork.
