Overview

Missouri Baptist Medical Center , an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. Role PurposeUnder the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and an Emergency Room (ER) Physician, the Paramedic - ED/Ambulatory provides patient care support services, in compliance with Hospital and Patient Care Services policies and protocols for ER Triage in the Emergency Department.ResponsibilitiesPerforms routine equipment function tests and calibrations.Supports and assists with the delivery of patient care.Performs invasive procedures, as directed by the RN or Physician.Assists with the maintenance and cleaning of patient care equipment.Assists with the inventory of supplies and equipment ensuring adequate supply levels.Minimum RequirementsEducationHigh School Diploma or GEDExperience2-5 yearsSupervisor ExperienceNo ExperienceLicenses & CertificationsParamedic
