Accounting Manager (Construction Company)

We are seeking an Accounting Manager to become a permanent member of our client's team in Sherman Oaks, CA! The Accounting Manager will be responsible for oversight of A/P and A/R functions including billing and collections, month end close and reporting, budgeting, and cash flow reports. The Accounting Manager will report to the President.ResponsibilitiesProvide Owner with financial information; prepare financial statements, reconcile accounts, coordinate year-end financial close with outside CPA tax firmEnsuring compliance with local, state, and federal government requirementsSupervising and monitoring the financial integrity of the general ledger and accounting systemsEnsure compliance with GAAP and other accounting standardsManage accounts payable and receivableOversee the payroll process and ensure accurate calculation and distribution of payrollLeading financial statement reviews and assisting with tax return filingsPreparation of accurate monthly financial reports, forecasting business activity, and analyzing financial positionRequirementsBachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required5+ years of progressive accounting experience, emphasizing experience in the construction industryDemonstrated advanced knowledge of accounting principles and functionsConstruction project accounting software (Sage 100 Contractor) experience is highly desirableProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook#IND2
