Job Summary
A Forklift Operator moves product or materials in a warehouse environment using powered tools and vehicles.
Job Responsibilities
Operates industrial vehicles and equipment (pallet-jacks, forklifts, hand-trucks, etc.).Transports raw materials, full goods and/or finished goods to the designated storage areas.Loads and unloads designated trailers and/or route trucks.Assists with the management of inventory and product loss control.Adheres to the regulatory, safety, and company policies and procedures.Fill in for other warehouse positions as needed.Job Requirements
High School Diploma or GED preferred.Minimum of one year of work experience.Must be 18 years or olderPrior warehouse experience preferredPrior experience using pallet jack or forklift preferred. Ability to obtain PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) certification upon hire is required.Physical Requirements
Speaking: Constantly (investigates, negotiates, recommends, reports, etc.)Acute Vision: Constantly (observing both near and far, reading documents)Mobility: Frequent travel throughout Heartland facility (walking in warehouse)Bending/Squatting: Constantly (picking up product, moving product)Lifting: Frequent- Lift 50 lbs. or less (full cases of product)Ability to work in a warehouse environment where temperatures vary with the seasons.
