The Production Scheduler will be responsible for performing the production scheduling for one or more facilities.
T
he Nuts and Bolts
Instrumental in collaborating with all levels of the company to plan, set, and support a Sales and Operations Production planPerform the production scheduling to maximize on-time delivery, productivity, inventory turns, gross profit, etc; utilize level loading practices for production lines by using plant loading tools and lean methodologyEstablish commitment (promise ship) dates for scheduled sales ordersWorks directly with manufacturing to support customer on-time deliveryWill work with the sales department and Corporate Master scheduling to set long term production schedules and commitments for high volume ordersCommunicates with respective departments on any schedule changes that will adversely affect overall schedule execution or customer expectationWorks directly with the Materials management team and fellow associates to ensure that raw materials and customer supplied items are available to support the production schedulePreferred Credentials
BS/BA degree in Supply Chain Management or related field (preferred).Strong understanding of production scheduling in a make-to-order environment with 5+ years scheduling experience.Knowledge of MPS/MRP systems. Experience with JD Edwards is a plus.The ability to adapt in a very fluid and cyclical environment.Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical skills.Moderate user of Microsoft Office tools, with an emphasis on Excel.Moderate travel up to 25% may be required.APICS CPIM certification a plus.You Must Be Able to
