Every day, more than 10 million tests are run on Abbotts diagnostics instruments, providing lab results for millions of people.What Youll Work OnThis Finance Supervisor, Global Supply Chain role provides a unique opportunity to gain experience and insight into the Core Diagnostics Global Supply Chain Organization and is a key member of the Global Manufacturing Operations Finance team. This role acts as a financial partner for the Global Purchasing organization and is the financial subject matter expert on Third Party Manufactured (TPM) Reagents, with Financial Planning & Accounting responsibilities, including Standard Cost development and analysis, operating variance analysis and inventory analysis. Additional financial responsibilities include analytics and presentation development during the Abbott planning cycles, month end close accounting entries, variance analysis and support for significant on-going business decisions. Additionally, as a Headquarters role, this position offers an international perspective with responsibility for the global consolidation of Supply Chain financial data.Main Responsibilities Include:End to end Standard Costing for Core Diagnostics TPM Reagents, including development of fully burdened standards, cost change analysis, development and delivery of presentation for management reviewOwnership of P&L and Balance Sheet forecasting and reporting cycles through close communication with our business partners in Global Purchasing and Global Demand Planning. This role supports >$600MM in annual purchases and serves as the Finance expert and go-to person for these key areas.Drive value added insights through the preparation of various management presentations, financial modeling, financial analyses, and related consultation to senior divisional management in planning and achieving short- and long-term financial objectivesReview and drive Actual financial data during month-end close, including journal entry preparation, variance analysis and month end reporting.Preparation of monthly Supply Chain intercompany deferred margin packageLeads the global consolidation of Supply Chain financial data, including high level commentaryPreparation of monthly foreign currency purchase forecast to support Treasury hedging activitiesLead analyst to support external financial audit requests for US DistributionOther P&L/Balance Sheet analysis as neededRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree with concentration in accounting or finance.4-6 years of finance Corporate Finance/Accounting experience to include roles of increasing responsibility in accounting and/or finance.Preferred QualificationPrior cost accounting and/or financial planning experience preferredDemonstrated ability to provide data and analysis to support decision making, methodical approach to problem solving and rational ideas supporting them, ability to keep learning and to teach others, traditional accounting knowledge and facilitator of management needs, streamlining functions within the department and an efficient work ethic.Strong written and verbal communication; ability to communicate technical accounting concepts clearly and concisely with non-finance partners.Prior experience with Symphony/SAP and TM1 (or similar financial planning systems).* Participants who complete a short wellness assessment qualify for FREE coverage in our HIP PPO medical plan.
