Job Details:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Permanent Fund Accountant to join our dynamic team in the commercial real estate industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, with a focus on journal entries, year-end audits, year-end tax reports, and cash-on-hand analysis. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Fund Accountant, you will play a vital role in our financial department. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Preparing and maintaining accurate journal entries, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded correctly and in a timely manner.
- Conducting year-end audits, reviewing financial statements, and identifying any discrepancies or areas for improvement.
- Preparing year-end tax reports, ensuring all financial information is accurately reported and in compliance with tax laws.
- Performing cash-on-hand analysis, monitoring cash flow, and providing recommendations for improving financial efficiency.
- Collaborating with other members of the financial team to develop and implement financial strategies and goals.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends, changes in tax laws, and financial regulations, ensuring our company remains in compliance at all times.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Fund Accountant role will have the following qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the real estate industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, including journal entries, year-end audits, year-end tax reports, and cash-on-hand analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide accurate and actionable financial insights.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies in financial data and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial information to non-financial team members.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
