Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our manufacturing team. This role is critical to our operations and requires a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive individual. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of shipping, receiving, and inventory control in our fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and a solid understanding of shipping procedures, material handling, and inventory management.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate the daily shipping and receiving activities in the manufacturing unit.
  • Use FedEx shipping system to prepare, handle, and track all outgoing shipments.
  • Receive, verify, and record incoming materials and compare them with purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move stock and reorganize storage.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory and report any discrepancies to the management.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures related to shipping, receiving, and material handling.
  • Collaborate with the production and purchasing teams to forecast, plan, and manage inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with freight carriers and delivery services to ensure timely and cost-effective shipments.
  • Resolve any shipping and receiving issues or discrepancies promptly and professionally.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory control in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in using FedEx shipping systems and understanding of shipping procedures.
  • Experience in operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management practices and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions quickly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in inventory management or related field is a plus.
