Job Details:

As a Permanent Material Program Manager, you will be at the forefront of our engineering operations, ensuring the smooth flow of materials and resources for our projects. You will be responsible for managing, planning, and coordinating the entire lifecycle of materials and products, from initial acquisition to final delivery. This role is at the heart of our engineering processes, and we are looking for an individual who can handle the pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in material management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with various teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement material management strategies to meet project objectives.
  2. Oversee the acquisition, distribution, allocation, and delivery of materials and products.
  3. Ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) regulations and obtain necessary clearances.
  4. Use Primavera P6 for scheduling and project management, ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budget.
  5. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
  6. Monitor the status of materials and products, identify potential issues, and implement solutions.
  7. Develop and maintain a master schedule, identifying critical paths and adjusting as necessary.
  8. Provide regular updates to senior management on the status of materials and projects.
  9. Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality standards.
  10. Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the engineering industry.
  3. Proficient in using Primavera P6 for scheduling and project management.
  4. Experience working with subcontractors and managing complex supply chains.
  5. Possess a DoD Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
  7. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify potential issues and implement effective solutions.
  8. Proven track record in managing materials and resources, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  9. Knowledge of health and safety regulations within the engineering industry.
  10. Ability to handle pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
