Job Details:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sonographer specializing in Vascular studies to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care, performing diagnostic patient examinations using ultrasound, and assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of vascular conditions. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the use of all modern sonographic equipment and have a strong understanding of vascular anatomy, pathology, and imaging techniques. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform a variety of vascular ultrasound procedures with precision and accuracy, including but not limited to carotid, venous, arterial, and abdominal Doppler studies.
  2. Prepare preliminary reports for the interpreting physician, including accurate measurements, appropriate images, and relevant patient history.
  3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to optimize patient care, and assist in interventional procedures as needed.
  4. Maintain all sonographic equipment, ensuring it is in good working order, and report any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
  5. Provide education and explanations to patients regarding procedures, ensuring their comfort and cooperation during the examination.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with departmental protocols and applicable legal requirements.
  7. Stay updated with the latest industry developments, techniques, and procedures to enhance patient service delivery.
  8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

  1. Must hold active credentials with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), Radiologic Technologist (RT), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
  2. A minimum of 1 year of experience is preferred
  3. Proficiency in the use of all modern sonographic equipment is essential.
  4. Strong understanding of vascular anatomy, pathology, and imaging techniques.
  5. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to explain complex medical information in a clear and understandable manner.
  6. Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.
  8. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift or move patients when necessary.
