Glen Echo Surgery Center i s a fast paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse, operating room, provides nursing care and service during surgery cases. The RN will be responsible for positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case. Experienced in surgical procedures in the following specialties: Orthopedics, ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology.

Qualifications:Graduate of an approved school of nursing.Currently licensed in the state. CPR required, advanced life support certification required.One year experience required intra-operative setting.Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.Who We Are

Required Skills:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursingCurrent Maryland RN license.Current BLS, ACLS and PALSMinimum of 2 years experience in OR. Previous experience working in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred.Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patientUnderstand principles of aseptic technique and their implementationAbility to care for patients from infancy to geriatricsKnowledge base to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errorsAbility to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when neededExcellent teaching skillsExcellent communication and organizational skillsDemonstrate strong professional and ethical behaviorAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians and fellow employees.
