Position Responsibilities:No. Percentof TimeEssentialDuty Job Duties1 40% YesPatient Care & Assessment - Clarifies and implements orders fromphysician, physician assistant and/or advance practice nurse byadministering medications and performing treatments and testing asprescribed by the physician, and documents accordingly (Magnet Force#12). Recognizes symptoms and establishes priorities consistent withpatient's condition (Magnet Force #9). Documents ongoing assessmentsof patient's physical and emotional status in order to address patientneeds appropriately (Magnet Force #'s 5,6). Demonstrates mastery ofrequired unit-based competencies and orientation goals.2 20% YesPlan of Care - Obtains information from patient and/or family to developan appropriate patient educational plan. Formulates, implements andcontinually revises patient plan of care based on ongoing assessment ofthe patient, information acquired from patient’s database, and resourceswithin the medical center (Magnet Force #'s 2,6).
