Community Health Services, Inc . is seeking an experienced Staff Dentist for the Dental Department. Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Staff Dentist provides comprehensive dental care with an emphasis on primary preventative services and provides high quality treatment of disease and/or injuries.
The successful candidate will:
Be a graduate from an accredited dental school with a valid license to practice dentistry in the state of ConnecticutHave or be eligible to obtain a valid DEA and state narcotic registrationPossess a deep knowledge of professional dental practice coupled with a record of providing high quality, comprehensive dental care to patients according to established standards, protocols and practicesDemonstrate the ability to provide culturally competent care to a diverse patient population in a collaborative environment.Be able to make evidence-based clinical decisions and comply with department and organizational quality measuresHave time management skills able to maintain the timely flow of patientsPossess experience and skill working with electronic health record systemsBe able to maintain timely, thorough and accurate written clinical documentationPossess the ability to communicate effectively with patients, peers, and other stakeholders both orally and in writingDemonstrate superior customer service skillsHave proven success handling confidential informationHave a resourceful, problem-solving attitude and the willingness to be accountableBe comfortable working with diverse patient and staff populations and have alignment with the organizational missionBe willing to perform other duties as assigned
Candidates with at least 3 years' experience working in a dental practice and/or with diverse socio-economically disadvantaged populations are strongly preferred.
