The SRM Quality Auditor is responsible for continuously monitoring the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with specifications. The SRM Quality Auditor also leads the Quality Team members on daily operational duties and ensures the proper use of equipment and materials to maximize productivity.
Working Conditions:
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment; hot when weather is hot and cold when weather is cold. Greasy, dirty and noisy environment.Work involves lifting, pulling and/or pushing of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Standing and walking considerable distances. Operation requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
1.Qualifications:
1.1.High school diploma or GED equivalent.
1.2.Minimum of two years of working experience in quality control field/metallurgical laboratory.
1.3.Training in Ultrasonic and Quality.
1.4.Knowledgeable experience with the latest editions of API, ASTM, and ISO requirements.
1.5.Knowledge of excel and word document and the ability to learn new software applications.
1.6.Visibility of work requires attention to detail, good organizational skills.
1.7.Exceptional oral and written communication skills and solid arithmetic and computer skills.
1.8.Employee must be able to work with a flexible or rotating schedule which may require over-time when needed.
2.Responsibilities:
2.1.Reporting and investigating Non-conformances and Corrective actions.
2.2.Helping problem solve all quality issues.
2.3.Secondary function is to assist in all quality roles when necessary and ensuring all material that is processed by BPU conforms to API/ASTM/Customer specifications.
2.4.Current knowledge and understanding of all relevant Borusan Pipe U.S. SOP's.
2.5.Responsible for all quality operations.
2.6.Responsible for ensuring the operation team receives feedback of defect analysis for all departments.
2.7.Evaluating control features/process recipes for different suppliers.
2.8.Ensure Data inputs by quality personnel are accurate, on time and complete.
2.9.Open communication with all department supervisors and managers.
2.10.Monthly reporting of quality performance.
2.11.Troubleshooting of lab and inspection equipment.
2.12.Helping facilitate all quality training and progress.
2.13.Maintain gauge calibrations in the gauge tracking software, calibrating gauges, and requesting outside calibration for gauge/equipment.
2.14.Communicate and cooperate with quality, operations, and any third-party that may be present.
2.15.Employee must follow all PPE policies and safety rules.
2.16.Supports HSE-related programs that will increase awareness and promote a safety culture.
3.Activities:
3.1.Daily auditing of all processes.
3.2.Verify calibrations, working condition of measuring equipment against standards, and perform calibrations.
3.3.Verify the inspection all reports prepared in MES.
3.4.Confirm the rejects from the inspection processes.
3.5.This position may require operating a Forklift, Torch, Overhead Crane.
3.6.Maintain good housekeeping practices in the work area.
3.7.Problem solving of any quality issues in the plant.
3.8.Maintain daily contact with 3rd party inspection group on any needs or scheduling.
3.9.Ensure lab equipment is properly cared for.
3.10.Ensure proper procedures are being followed and appropriate paperwork is being utilized.
3.11.Conduct daily safety toolbox meetings.
3.12.Other duties as assigned.
4.Authority and Obligation:
4.1.This position has the authority to stop operations in cases of Safety and/or Quality being in question
