Responsibilities
Develop and implement goal-directed therapy programs for each client based on in-depth evaluationsDirect and aid client in active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait and functional trainingMaintain timely and thorough, discipline-specific documentation of care providedPrepare for client discharge by performing in-home evaluations, client/caregiver education, and procurement of recommended equipmentSupervise a team of Licensed Physical Therapist Assistants, Physical Therapy Technicians, Physical Therapy students, and Rehabilitation Technicians on a routine basis to ensure completion of the established treatment planMaintain a working knowledge of and adherence to Physical Therapy Practice Act and Code of EthicsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications
B.S. degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution or B.S. degree in a related field with a Physical Therapy certification from an accredited institutionCurrent license to practice Physical Therapy in the state of Texas requiredAbility to analyze therapy data to improve treatment efficiency and qualityCompetency in applying principles, materials, and equipment used in Physical TherapyMust be able to pass all pre-employment and employment verifications
