About the Role and Team
The Quality Manager, reports to an ALMS Senior Corporate Manager and is part of a diverse team providing Base Operations Support and maintaining continuity of operations at Marine Helicopter Squadron One (HMX-1) and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that the HMX-1 facility's physical assets are maintained and optimized to support smooth operations and that all services meet established standards and expectations.
Your Impact
As an experienced Quality Manager, you are an integral part of team that manages a comprehensive quality management system that enables the HMX-1 and surrounding facilities and facilities managers to operate at optimal efficiency while meeting required regulations. Your contribution impacts the people who work in these facilities supporting their mission to provide helicopter transportation for individuals as directed by the White House Military Office.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain an effective quality control program to ensure services are performed in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS), applicable laws, regulations, and best commercial practices. Conduct regular inspections and audits of services to ensure compliance with contract specifications and standards. Identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and ensure non-recurrence of defective services. Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, audits, and corrective actions. Prepare and submit detailed quality control reports and presentations for project stakeholders, including recommendations for continuous improvement. Ensure all operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, and best commercial practices. Provide training and support to staff to ensure understanding and adherence to quality standards. Ensure availability on-site during regular working hours and within two hours after working hours. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
EXPERIENCE:
Five (5) years of experience in preparing and enforcing programs on Base Operations Support Contracts that include Facilities Management, Facilities Investment, Custodial, Grounds Maintenance and Landscaping, Pest Control and Pavement Clearance.
Five (5) years of experience in preparing and enforcing safety programs OR Three (3) years of experience with a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or safety and health degree is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE:
Strong understanding of quality control principles, practices, and standards applicable to base operations support services.
CITIZENSHIP and CLEARANCE:
Must be a U.S. citizen. Possession of a valid state driver's license is required. A DoD Top Secret is required, a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance is desired.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be available on-site during the Government's regular working hours and within two hours after regular working hours. The work environment may include exposure to loud noises, dust, and hazardous materials. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
SKILLS:
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Proficient in using quality management software and tools. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential. High level of attention to detail to ensure compliance with contract requirements and safety standards. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively, ensuring operational, quality, and safety standards are consistently met.
