Locums - Gastroenterologist

Job Title: Locums GastroenterologistLocation: Kansas City, MOSalary: Very CompetitiveWe are seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist to provide hospitalist services in the Kansas City, MO area. This locum tenens role involves 24/7 onsite coverage, starting daily at 7:00 AM. The physician will be on-site for approximately 8 hours per day, with on-call availability for the remaining hours.The primary responsibilities include performing inpatient consultations, managing acute GI conditions, and providing emergency GI services. Experience with ERCP is a plus but not required.Key Responsibilities:Provide inpatient gastroenterology care, including consultations and treatment.Manage acute GI issues for hospitalized patients.Perform procedures as needed, such as endoscopies and colonoscopies.Collaborate with the hospitalist team and other specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.Be on-call and respond to any urgent GI issues during non-coverage hours.Schedule:24/7 onsite coverage8 hours onsite daily, starting at 7:00 AMRemaining hours on-call from the hospitalRequirements:Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.Active Missouri medical license or eligibility to obtain one.Experience with ERCP is preferred but not required.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a hospital setting and provide urgent, high-quality care.Benefits:Competitive locum rate.Travel and lodging provided.Malpractice insurance coverage.If you're a Gastroenterologist looking for a flexible locums opportunity with hospitalist duties, we encourage you to apply!
