**Description****This is a per diem position day shift working 1-2 shifts per week in the Telemetry department at Northwest Medical Center.**The Telemetry unit offers a fast-paced, complex care area that enables an enhanced development of skill set and competence. Nurses use highly evolved management skills to deliver high quality, safe, and compassionate care to a team of 6 patients. They: evaluate assigned patients and formulate plans of care, implement and document nursing care, promote patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Nurses assist in procedures such as cardioversions and transesophageal echocardiograms. All our nurses are ACLS certified and every new-to-Tele nurse receives Basic EKG training as part of initial training.
