Aerospace Quality Engineer

A successful Aerospace Quality Engineer is able to effectively and efficiently develop, implement, and monitor quality standards for new and existing products through active collaboration with R&D, Product Engineering, and Operations to ensure alignment with customer expectations and manufacturing process capabilities.
The Aerospace Quality Engineer is responsible for managing the systematic corrective and preventive actions (CAR) process. Leading PPAP and other qualification efforts. Assists with and conducts audits, generation of conformance certifications, disposition of non-conforming materials, and first article inspections. Develops, maintains, and reports internal quality metrics (KPIs) and trend analyses to management. Must maintain exceedingly collaborative and effective interaction with Production and Engineering teams to proactively advance QMS as required to support world class manufacturing operations.
We are looking for someone who has is bachelor's degree in a technical/professional discipline with at least 5 years' experience and knowledge in the quality and manufacturing fields. Must have working knowledge and internal quality System experience for Aviation, Space and Defense Organizations (AS9100). Working knowledge of risk management processes and hands-on experience in risk management tools (FMEA, Risk Assessment, etc.). Certified AS9100 Auditor preferred. Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and Nadcap preferred. Desired CQE, CSSBB and/or CQA.
Salary ranges for this position are determined based upon the job location and can be adjusted based upon experience, reflecting our commitment to valuing the expertise and contributions of our individual teammates. Salary range for this role is $80,000 - $107,000 annually based upon experience.
