Unit Notes- Unit: Pre-Op/Ambulatory Surgery Center- # beds: 12 Suites- Certs: BLS- Ratios: 1 to 4- EMR: Cerner- Charge Nurse: Clinical Coordinator- Nurse Aides: Yes 1- Weekend Requirement: No- Holidays: No- Scrub Color: Navy- Tele: Phillips- Vents: No- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: N/A- IV Team: Yes - but usually start their own IVs- RT 24/7: Yes- Pharmacy 24/7: Yes- Shifts: 10s- Floating: Not usually but could be cross-trained depending on experience- Floor specific orientation: 1 week- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Ortho, neuro, spines, robotics, CV, URO, GYN, some general, endo, IR - foundational experience required.

- Unit: PACU- # beds: Main OR 8; Pavilion 12 beds- Certs: BLS, ACLS, PALS- Ratios: 1 to 1 or 1:2 if transition (do send some patients home from here)- EMR: Cerner--want familiarity with this- Charge Nurse: Rotating charge who will take patients- Nurse Aides: none- Weekend Requirement: 24 hrs hour call/weekend--not required- Call: 23-07; 24 hrs call/weekend--not required- Holidays: 24 hrs hour call/weekend--not required- Scrub Color: Provided by hospital- Tele: Phillips- Vents: Rare--usually only emergent as go to ICU- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes, on call after hours- IV Team: none- RT 24/7: Yes- Pharmacy 24/7: 7-2230 in house then satellite- Shifts: 10 hr- Floating: Not required but if have skills can go to ACU or prep area- Floor specific orientation: Yes, with preceptor- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: All post operative patients that have had general anesthesia; ortho, gyn, urology, ENT, general surgeries, cath lab patients- Additional Notes: All patients in house that have general anesthesia are recovered here including cath lab patients; critical care patients go directly to ICU to be recovered; anesthesia 24/7Additional Questions: Must have at least 3 years experience and some critical care background preferred
