Travel RN - Labor and Delivery Location: Albuquerque, NM Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with Labor & Delivery experience to join our partner hospital in Albuquerque, NM. This travel assignment offers an exciting opportunity to provide essential care to expectant mothers and their newborns in a dynamic and supportive environment. Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. Conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based nursing interventions. Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs, recognizing and responding to potential complications. Assist with deliveries, including vaginal and cesarean births. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician. Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn care. Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, including obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care. Qualifications: Active RN license in the state of New Mexico or a compact state license. Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience they were preferred. NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification is required. BLS/BCLS certification. AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification preferred. Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
