THIS IS A WEEKENDS SHIFT ONLY
RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.
REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:
Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year
Traveler Experience: REQUIRED, Unit WILL NOT ACCEPT 1st Time Travelers
Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes

Certs: BLS

JOB DETAILS:
Ratios: 1:6 flex based on needs in organization
Shift: 12hr DAYS WEEKENDS F/S/S/M DEPENDING ON NEED (has the option to be scheduled on Friday or Monday for the coverage for 3 days)

Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the unit through the holidays!!

Float Requirement: Yes, traveler will work with the CNRO(Centralized Resource Nursing Pool). Float Pool currently covers three separate campuses. Majority of shifts will be at the main campus but shift can also be scheduled and New Hanover Orthopedic Hospital and Pender Memorial Hospital. Staff are notified 2hrs before the start of the shift. Candidates will float all medical/Surgical floors
Weekend Requirement: every other weekend
**Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.
PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Floating between several medical, surgical, and telemetry units. Assisting in caring for patients held in our ED who are inpatient.
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: **Contract staff may be required to care for patients with COVID. During times of increased census typical ratios may be higher. Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff. May be preassigned to units as needed.
UNIT SYSTEMS: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR.
SCHEDULING TYPE: based on scheduling gaps
UNIT ORIENTATION: 24hrs (2 shifts)
