Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room Location: Mason City, IA Facility: MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center Contract Length: 13 Weeks Shift: 1900-0730 (7: Job Description: MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Room team on a 13-week contract. As an ER RN, you will provide high-quality care to patients in urgent and critical conditions, delivering compassionate and efficient care in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Perform triage, assessment, and stabilization of emergency patients. Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions as needed. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans. Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in condition. Document patient care accurately and timely in accordance with hospital policies. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, procedures, and post-discharge care. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures. Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required. TNCC certification preferred. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills. Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Special Requirements: Must be able to work the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including weekends and holidays as scheduled. COVID-19 and flu vaccinations are required per facility guidelines.
