The Maintenance Electro Mechanic performs maintenance activities in a safe manner while ensuring

product safety.

A Maintenance Electro Mechanic is responsible for working in a safe and professional manner including

following lockout – tagout procedures. Perform preventive maintenance procedures on all types of

production equipment. Perform all types of troubleshooting and repairs of production equipment

without direct supervision. Make equipment modifications as needed to improve safety and

productivity. Train other maintenance team members as needed. Assist set-up personnel and

machine operators as needed

Schedule is 3 – 2 – 3 with every other weekend off, working half the month based on 12 hour shift.

Job Details

Works closely with Maintenance Manager to set priorities in order to support company needs.

  • Leads day-to-day activities and communications of department Maintenance team; manages employee absences and employee performance.
  • Provides timely and complete communication with all appropriate departments and functions concerning the status of maintenance work or projects
  • Assist in the training of new Technicians utilizing Training Within Industry (TWI) and act as a resource for technical knowledge and best practices
  • Troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment using a systematic diagnostic approach.

Electrical:

  • Install and repair electrical systems, electric apparatus and components on industrial process machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnoses malfunctioning equipment such as transformers, motors, rectifiers, instrumentation, wiring, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
  • Replace faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches and motors and positions sensing devices.
  • Bend conduit; install new wiring for sensors, valves, actuators, and other electrical devices used for machine and process control.
  • Troubleshoot machine controls utilizing a PLC, servo, stepper, and basic relay logic controls.

Mechanical:

  • maintain mechanical pneumatic and hydraulic components on production machines such as metal fabricating stamping machines, material handling system, automated assembly machines, degreasing equipment, anodizing lines, and conveyor systems.
  • Repair/replace damaged air, chemical, water and hydraulic pipes on machine and measures, cuts, threads and installs new pipe.
  • Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems, replace as needed.
  • Aligns and adjust components on machines to improve or correct machine functionality and part quality.
  • Sets up and operates metalworking tools such as lathe, drill press or grinder to make or repair parts.
  • Test all repairs and installations for correct functionality and proper performance. Record all work completed in the company asset tracking software, communicating issues, parts used and need to restock components to Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • One-year prior leadership experience, preferably in maintenance supporting a high volume manufacturing environment
