We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-experienced Tax Senior Manager to join our finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to expand your career in a vibrant, fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients. You will play a critical role in the company's financial management, including direct responsibility for tax planning, compliance, and research.
Responsibilities:
As a Tax Senior Manager, your core responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts (1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041).
- Providing innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients.
- Managing client relationships, including interacting with clients to resolve tax and audit issues.
- Supervising and mentoring junior staff, including reviewing their work for accuracy and completeness.
- Conducting tax research projects to optimize client tax positions.
- Ensuring timely and high-quality services that will exceed client expectations.
- Collaborating with internal departments to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and manage risk.
- Keeping up-to-date with changes in tax regulations and legislation to ensure compliance and provide accurate advice to clients.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this challenging and rewarding role, you will need to meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 5+ years of public accounting experience with a strong focus on tax.
- Extensive experience with 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041 tax returns.
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is mandatory.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A Master's degree or advanced certification would be advantageous.
- Exceptional client service skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of effectively managing teams.
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
